Garbage Talk

I'm not sure how many times a day we talk about garbage, but it's a lot...probably 100. At the end of the video he's talking about the garbage truck coming to his school.

Halloween Fun!

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, 2nd only to Christmas. It always has been, even before I became a mom. It's even more fun now! Here are some pictures as we prepare for the spooky day. We are going to Underwood Farms with Aiden's class on Tuesday for more pumpkin fun.

We went to a fun Halloween party last night hosted by our friends the Saints. Aiden is a Garbage Man and Ashton is a lobster.

This is how I roll, yo.

4 months

Ashton is 4 months old! He had his 4 month physical today and he's a healthy little guy. He got shots too, which were not fun for either of us, but he's back to his happy, smiley self.

He weighs 14 pounds 11 ounces (50th%) and he is 27 1/4" long. The doctor says his length is off the charts. I think he may end up being taller than Aiden! Aiden was in the 95th% at this age.

The fun things he's doing these days:
-He's rolling! He rolled over for the first time almost 2 weeks ago and now he rolls several times a day! Once or twice I've seen him scoot on his back while laying on his activity mat. He uses his legs to push himself in circles.
-He enjoys tummy time.
-He likes his Baby Einsteins activity mat. He loves reaching for the dangling toys.
-He knows his name! When we say his name, he turns his head toward us.
-He's very vocal. Lots of cooing and baby talk.
-This kid is full of smiles! Especially when Aiden is nearby. He's starting to admire his brother already.
-He's still a good sleeper. He goes to bed around 7:30-8PM and sleeps for 7-8 hours before his next feeding.
-The past few days he's been taking a long afternoon nap, from 2-5PM. I think he may be going through a growth spurt.

Nap time

While I was putting Ashton down for a nap upstairs this afternoon, Aiden put himself down for a nap downstairs. He got himself a blanket and was sound asleep on the couch when I came downstairs. This is just on the heels of Ron and I talking about not having him nap anymore because he has been going to bed too late. But after today, Ron reminded me that Aiden comes from a long line of Antar nappers. Which is true, the Antars love to nap and apparently, Aiden is no exception.

Roley Poley

Ashton rolled over from his tummy to his back for the first time today! He is 3 months 3 weeks old. Aiden didn't roll over until he was closer to 4 1/2 months. Ashton has done it a few times since Monday, so maybe it wasn't a fluke?? Here he is with Reagle the beagle.
