Reason #538 why I love being a mom

Eggstravaganza

Saturday was a fun day! We started the day by going to the annual Eggstraganza. For 5 bucks the kids get to play on several moon bounes, ride the ponies, play games and go on a egg hunt. Aiden LOVED it and I'm sure Ashton will enjoy it more next year, when he's more mobile. After the Eggstravaganza we went to 2 birthday parties. Aiden was smiling all day long; it was a fun day!

There were only 2 gold eggs and Aiden found one of them.

Ashton is such a rock star. He was on the go all day long, only had one nap and didn't cry once! Not even a peep! Just smiles and giggles. He's our mellow observer. God has truely blessed us with a wonderfully easy going, well natured, happy-go-lucky child.

He's a little unsure about his first experience in a hammock.

One minute, he was enjoying his lollypop from Sean's birthday party and the next he was snoring. I could barely stop laughing long enough to take this picture.

Yesterday we went to the farm and met my friend Jennifer and her 2 sons there. The kids had a great time!

Aiden was so happy the other day when he discovered that Ashton's arms are finally long enough so that they can hold hands.

Garbage Trucks

Ashton really doesn't have a choice...he will have to play with garbage trucks whether he likes it or not. So far he likes it.

Wake up, brother!

Ashton and I have to wake Aiden up from his nap almost every day. He'd sleep 3 hours or more if I let him. Here's Aiden getting his daily wake up call.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

We don't have any Irish roots but we have fun celebrating this green day anyhow. The savory aroma of corned beef and cabbage is working its way through the house and the boys are in green. "Aiden" is an Irish name. It means "little fire" which is an appropriate description of our little boy!

We love Santa!

We took the boys to see Santa this afternoon, it was so much fun! Aiden is REALLY loving Santa and all things Christmas. Ashton thought he was cool, especially his beard. Santa reminded Ashton that his beard is real, so be gentle! This Santa is amazingly wonderful with the kids. He takes his time and talks to them a lot, we love him!


Hmmm...now that I'm sitting on his lap, I forgot what I want! Oh ya, a forklift and a monster truck!

A few more Halloween pictures...

My friend Robin is bugging me to post some more Halloween pictures...these are for you Robin! :)

Aiden enjoyed helping me clean out the pumpkin. He didn't get to use the knife and do any carving, but he was excited to see the finished product.


Since it was so cold on Halloween night, I put Ashton in the costume Aiden wore when he was a baby. I just took him out for a few minutes. Look at those eyes, he was so tired! Next Halloween will be more fun for him.

Halloween Fun!

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, 2nd only to Christmas. It always has been, even before I became a mom. It's even more fun now! Here are some pictures as we prepare for the spooky day. We are going to Underwood Farms with Aiden's class on Tuesday for more pumpkin fun.

We went to a fun Halloween party last night hosted by our friends the Saints. Aiden is a Garbage Man and Ashton is a lobster.

Three

Three is our lucky number this month. Aiden is 3 years old and Ashton is 3 months old! On Saturday, we took the boys to get their pictures taken. That proved to be a challenge. Ashton was tired and Aiden was antsy and just wasn't in the mood. We did manage to get a few good pictures though. Our friends Chris & Judy got the boys matching outfits when Ashton was born. Something I never would have thought of, but turned out to be very cute!

Week in review

Here are some pictures from the past week.

We went to a fun water park in Ventura on Sunday. It was our first time there but we will definitely be going again. Aiden loved it! Ashton and I had to sit in the shade on the sidelines until next year.

In the morning, a few hours after he wakes up, Aiden crawls back into bed to hang out with his "friends" as he calls them.
