Life's a beach!

We went to the beach late in the day yesterday to find a good spot for Aiden's birthday party. We're having a beach party and wanted to find a beach with tide pools so we decided to scope things out so I can finish up the invitation. Our big boy will be 4 in about 7 weeks! The first stop ended up being the best. Leo Carrillo State Beach. The beach is a small cove with little waves (great for kids). We missed low tide, but will plan better next time and for the birthday party. This was the first of many beach trips this Spring and Summer.
Aiden was thrilled to be at the beach. He had a great time searching for rocks. Looks like this one deserved a hug.


I love that Aiden understands that Asthon hasn't experienced much in life yet and wants to introduce him to new things. He felt it was very important for Ashton to check out the rock.

This was Ashton's first trip to the beach.

How can he pass up the opportunity to put sand in his mouth?

Aiden was pleased as punch to find this huge hole in the sand to play in.
